Visit to BSA Troop 173
An opportunity for the Webelos and Arrow of Scouts scouts to attend a Boy Scout Troop meeting at Troop 173. Scouts and parents can use this to help determine if joining Boy Scouts is right for them and if Troop 173 is a good fit. Scouts will be working on required knots (Double half hitch, taut line, and the bowline), as well as the proper care of ropes and how to whip the ends. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with Troop leadership, hear more about their approach to running the troop, and ask any questions that they may have.
Please note: attending a Boy Scout meeting is a requirement for a scout to earn their Arrow of Light Badge. This is in addition to any camping trip that your son might have attended with the Boy Scouts. If you are unable make this trip or would like to visit a different troop, please let your den leader know.
