Pinewood Derby – Check In #1 @ Littleton School

Please join Pack 142 at Pinewood Derby Check in #1

Event Location: Littleton School FRONT door
Dress Requirements: Free Dress  

IMPORTANT
It is necessary for ALL participants to register and submit their car to race officials prior to the race. Check in is available at the following times:
Tuesday, January 21, 2020 (6:30PM – 8:00PM)
Thursday, January 23, 2020 (6:30PM – 8:00PM)

Check-in will be quick and it will only be necessary to come to the Tuesday 1/21 check-in or Thursday 1/23 check-in, NOT both.

Car Numbers will be assigned at Check-In This Year

 

Attached are the rules for the Pinewood derby, but the basic synopsis is:  

– Max weight:  5.0 oz. on the official Pack 142 scale

– Length:  max 7 inches

– Height:  max 3-3/4 inches

– Width:  2-3/4 inches

– Clearance: min 3/8 inches

– Nose:  min 1/8 inch

– Wheelbase:  standard kit

– Wheels and axles – standard kit, no hub caps

Pinewood Derby & Pack Meeting @ Littleton School

Pizza and snacks will be available throughout the evening at a small fee to cover the cost incurred by Pack 142.   This is one of our signature events for the scouting year and it is sure to be a fun filled night.  We even expect the mayor to attend the festivities!

Scout Sunday

Please join Pack 142 for Scout Sunday!
Event Location: Saint Christopher Parish, Parsippany
Dress Requirements: Scout Uniform
 
A Scout is Reverent: He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others. 
Scout Sunday is February 2, 2020 
 
Even if your family is not Catholic, we invite you to attend.  This is an opportunity for schouts to learn about the beliefs of other scouts.  There will be no proselytizing or any effort to convert families from their own faith in any way. 

We need:
  •      two (2) scouts to participate in the flag ceremony
  •      three (3) scouts to read the Prayer of the Faithful (to be provided in advance for practice)
  •      three (3) scouts to bring up the gifts 
Please add a note when you RSVP via TroopTrack by Tuesday January 28 to let us know if your scout is willing to assist with these very important tasks.  
Pack 142 will be attending the 9:15AM mass and should arrive by 9:00AM at the latest.
 
Please RSVP!!! It is important that we provide Saint Christopher Parish with the estimated number of participants. Scouts will sit in a reserved section at the front of the church.

Troop 72 Pack Meeting @ All saints School cafeteria 189 Bladwin Rd. Parsippany

Hi All,

Please join 72 for this troop meeting to learn more about their team and advance your sons requirements in the scouting adventure. I am sending out another planner for 173 troop meeting on the following Friday. This is the only days I can fit in between pinewood derby, valentines day and a short vacation I am going on. Sorry they are back to back.

Please attend at least one of them to explore your options of Troops and what they have to offer.  Thank you!!
