Popcorn Show & Sell – Stop & Shop (9:00AM – 10:00AM) @ Stop & Shop

​In an effort to make it easier to identify who is able to attend during each slot, three different events have been created. Please indicate your attendance for one or more slots.

Please register to this event for Shop & Stop (Saturday, September 10, 2016)
Slot 1: 9:00AM – 10:00AM
Please ensure you check in with Pack 142’s Popcorn Kernel, Yohanny Nguyen or Cubmaster Troy Adams when you arrive and when you depart to ensure your scout receives credit for the time they have participated.
 
We do not expect every scout to attend each fundraising event. It is important we all work together to ensure each scout receives an equal opportunity to help raise funds for our pack.
 
Event Date: Saturday, September 10, 2016
Event Time: 9:00PM – 12:00PM (1 hour slots)
Event Location: Shop & Stop – Morris Plains
Dress Requirements: Scout Uniform
 
Why should a scout sell popcorn?
1. To support scouting. 70% of the money collected goes straight to local scouting.
2. To earn money for your scout account with the pack to help make scouting more affordable for your family.
3. To win GREAT PRIZES.

Prizes? What Prizes?
1. All scouts who participate in sales will earn a 2016 Popcorn Super Hero patch.
2. Scouts selling $125 or more will win a prize from CampMasters.
3. Scouts selling $750 or more, get all of the above, AND they join the $750 Clubwinning an additional prize and $25 scout bucks.
4. Scouts selling $1500 or more, get all of the above, AND a High Achiever Prizefrom CampMasters.
5. Scouts selling $1600 or more, get all of the above, AND a Free Week of Summer Camp at any of the PPC owned camps.
6. If your scout is one of the TOP 100 sellers in all of PPC, he will also be eligible for special Top 100 Club offers from PPC.

Tiger Den Meeting @ Littleton School Playground
Sep 10 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Our first den meeting.  The boys will get to know each other a little better, working on team building through the “Games Tigers Play” adventure.  This is an outdoor den meeting, so it will be weather driven.  Also, full uniforms are not required for this meeting, but rather pack t-shirts.

Highlights include:
– Fun activities
– Popcorn Fundraiser information
– Campfire & Marshmallows
 
Existing scouts should wear their pack t-shirt! We will bring extras for new members or those who don’t have a pack t-shirt.
 
Community Service Donations

At our August pool party, we collected non-perishable items to donate to the Interfaith Food Pantry. We will continue donations at our September Pack meeting to provide those who were unable to attend the pool party with an opportunity to donate. 

To provide a variety, we have identified different categories for each den. We would appreciate any assistance families can provide to this worthy cause.

Lion – Scouts in Kindergarten
Tiger – Scouts in grade 1
Fruits & Pasta (Examples below)
– Canned Fruit – Look for fruit canned in its own juice or with “no sugar added”
– 100% Fruit Juice – 32 oz. preferred
– Pasta – any kind other than spaghetti
 
Wolf – Scouts in grade 2
Dairy (Examples below) – Donate shelf-stable low fat (1%) or non-fat dairy products
– Parmalat – shelf stable 32 oz size
– Dry Milk – 1 qt package
– Calcium fortified milk alternatives such as soy, rice or almond
 
Bear – Scouts in grade 3
Protein (Examples below) – Look for “no salt added”, “low-sodium” and canned in water
– Canned Beans – pork and beans, pinto, red or white kidney; NOT green beans
– Peanut Butter – 18oz preferred
 
Webelo – Scouts in grade 4
Side Dishes & Soups (Examples below)
– Rice-A-Roni
– Soups – condensed and hearty varieties, low sodium
 
Arrow of Light – Scouts in grade 5
Baby Items & Speciality Items (Examples below)
– Baby Food – Stage 1, Stave 3 – Fruits, Vegetables, Meats and Meals
– Boost or Ensure- regular
– Boost Glucode Control or Glucerna
– Paper Towels – Rolls
 
We are looking forward to welcoming some new families and visitors that are interested in finding out more about Pack 142 to our meeting on Thursday night. You are welcome to invite any friends and families with boys that are Cub Scout age (grades K-5). Please be sure to RSVP to let us know you are coming and how many guests to expect.
 
If one or more friends of your Cub Scout join our pack, your Cub Scout and all new friends that they recruit will receive a “My Best Friend is a Scout” patch. Your Cub Scout will also be presented with a “Recruiter” patch.

Apple Picking & Hay Ride @ Stony Hill Farms
