In preparation for our June 15 pack meeting and Raingutter Regatta, we will be handing out boat kits at Littleton School on Thursday, June 8. This will provide your child with the opportunity to build his boat prior to race day.
We are looking forward to welcoming some new families and visitors that are interested in finding out more about Pack 142 to our meetings.
You are welcome to invite any friends and families with boys that are Cub Scout age (grades K-5). Please be sure to RSVP to let us know you are coming and how many guests to expect.
If one or more friends of your Cub Scout join our pack, your Cub Scout and all new friends that they recruit will receive a “My Best Friend is a Scout” patch. Your Cub Scout will also be presented with a “Recruiter” patch.

Baseball Campout @ Skylands Stadium

Please join Pack 142 at the Baseball and then camp out on the field!

This camping trip replaces the trip originally scheduled for June 10/11, 2017. Our attendance has been confirmed by Skylands Stadium. In order to make the reservation, Pack 142 needed to make full payment in advance. If you are yet to submit payment, please bring a check to the event or pay online using TroopTrack.

Event Date: Friday, June 9, 2017 – Saturday, June 10, 2017
Event Time: 6:00PM – 10:00AM
Event Location: Skylands Stadium – 94 Championship Place, Augusta, NJ
Dress Requirements: Pack T-Shirt and camping gear
Cost: $32 per person

This is a special event for Scouts and their families only! $32 per person includes:

  • Game Ticket
  • Miners T-Shirt
  • Post-Game Camp Out on Field
  • Breakfast
  • Movie on the video wall
  • Campfire with S'mores
  • A few other surprises!

There is also a special “Game Ticket Only” deal for $12 available to those who don’t want to stay over. If you are interested in this option, please email [email protected] or indicate in your RSVP notes.

Flag Retirement Ceremony

Event Date: Wednesday, June 14, 2017
Event Time: Dusk (arrive by 7:00PM)
Event Location: American Legion Post 155, 13 Legion Place, Whippany, NJ
Dress Requirements: Full Scout Uniform
 
The event starts at dusk and the organizers recommend arriving around 30 minutes before that time. Pack 142 should plan on meeting at around 7:00PM in full uniform. 
 
This is an outdoor event. If there are any last minute changes due to weather, we will send a notification via email.

June Pack Meeting and Rain Gutter Regatta @ Glacier Hills Association

Hightlights include:

– Pack 142 Rainguter Regatta
– Campfire
 
Existing scouts should wear their pack t-shirt! We will bring extras for new members or those who don't have a pack t-shirt.
 
If your scout has already been provided with a boat, please ensure that you bring it to the meeting!
 
If you didn't receive a boat kit OR if the boat is not complete, don't worry! There will be time during the meeting for your child to build a boat or finish one that isn't quite complete.
 
Important: The GHC Pool will be open to the public. We will be using the GHC facilities, but NOT the pool.

Annual Planning Meeting & BBQ

Event Location: Residence of Troy & Stephanie Adams (38 Stockton Court, Morris Plains)
 
This meeting is to plan the calendar for Pack 142 in the 2017/2018 scouting year. It is important that all committee members and interested parents attend.
 
Adult participants can bring their children if needed (there is plenty of outside space to play) and a BBQ lunch will be provided. We ask that each attendee brings a small item to contribute to the lunch.

IMPORTANT
Please ensure your RSVP by 9AM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 to ensure that we have enough materials (and ice cream) for everyone.

Pack 142 invites all scouts and their families to our Ice Cream Social. We will enjoy some ice cream and fun activities!
Note: Some activities will involve water and parents may want to bring a towel to dry their children before transporting them in the car.
