June Pack Meeting and Rain Gutter Regatta @ Glacier Hills Association

Hightlights include:

– Pack 142 Rainguter Regatta
– Campfire
 
Existing scouts should wear their pack t-shirt! We will bring extras for new members or those who don't have a pack t-shirt.
 
If your scout has already been provided with a boat, please ensure that you bring it to the meeting!
 
If you didn't receive a boat kit OR if the boat is not complete, don't worry! There will be time during the meeting for your child to build a boat or finish one that isn't quite complete.
 
Important: The GHC Pool will be open to the public. We will be using the GHC facilities, but NOT the pool.
 
We are looking forward to welcoming some new families and visitors that are interested in finding out more about Pack 142 to our meeting. You are welcome to invite any friends and families with boys that are Cub Scout age (grades K-5). Please be sure to RSVP to let us know you are coming and how many guests to expect.
 
If one or more friends of your Cub Scout join our pack, your Cub Scout and all new friends that they recruit will receive a “My Best Friend is a Scout” patch. Your Cub Scout will also be presented with a “Recruiter” patch.

Annual Planning Meeting & BBQ

This meeting is to plan the calendar for Pack 142 in the 2017/2018 scouting year. It is important that all committee members and interested parents attend.
 
Adult participants can bring their children if needed (there is plenty of outside space to play) and a BBQ lunch will be provided. We ask that each attendee brings a small item to contribute to the lunch.

IMPORTANT
Please ensure your RSVP by 9AM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 to ensure that we have enough materials (and ice cream) for everyone.

Pack 142 invites all scouts and their families to our Ice Cream Social. We will enjoy some ice cream and fun activities!
Note: Some activities will involve water and parents may want to bring a towel to dry their children before transporting them in the car.

We welcome new families and visitors that are interested in finding out more about Pack 142 to attend any of our events! Food Pantry Collection @ Stop & Shop

Community Service – Food Pantry Collection

Community Service is a big part of scouting. We are all so generous during the holiday seasons, but for many people hunger is a daily problem. Food pantries are in desperate need of supplies during the summer months.

Please consider joining us on Saturday, July 15 at Stop and Shop of Morris Plains to collect food and supplies for the Interfaith Food Pantry. We are in need of four (4) scouts and two (2) adults per hour.

Pack 142 invites you to participate in our Summer Fishing Derby & Hike at Saffin Pond – Mahlon Dickerson Reservation – 955 WELDON ROAD, JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, NJ 07849. Details on Mahlon Dickerson Reservation can be found by clicking here.
There is a parking lot for Saffin Pond. You will see it on the right-hand side before you come to the Mahlon Dickerson camping area. If you have trouble finding us, please call 973-437-6163.

Pack 142 will provide bait and a great time. We ask that families provide their own fishing rod and hooks. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

IMPORTANT
To participate (or help your child) in fishing each adult or person over the age of 16 must hold a NJ fishing license. Please click here for details and to purchase your license online.
