Flag Retirement Ceremony @ American Legion Post 155

Event Date: Tuesday, June 14, 2016
Event Time: Dusk (arrive by 7:00PM)
Event Location: American Legion Post 155, 13 Legion Place, Whippany, NJ
Dress Requirements: Full Scout Uniform
 
The event starts at dusk and the organizers recommend arriving around 30 minutes before that time. Pack 142 should plan on meeting at around 7:00PM in full uniform. 
 
This is an outdoor event. If there are any last minute changes due to weather, we will send a notification via email.

June Pack Meeting @ Glacier Hills Association

Dress Requirements: Pack T-Shirt
 
Hightlights include:
– Pack 142 Rainguter Regatta
– Campfire
 
Existing scouts should wear their pack t-shirt! We will bring extras for new members or those who don’t have a pack t-shirt.
 
If your scout has already been provided with a boat, please ensure that you bring it to the meeting!
 
If you didn’t receive a boat kit OR if the boat is not complete, don’t worry! There will be time during the meeting for your child to build a boat or finish one that isn’t quite complete.
 
Important: The GHC Pool will be open tomorrow night. We will be using the GHC facilities, but NOT the pool.
 
We are looking forward to welcoming some new families and visitors that are interested in finding out more about Pack 142 to our meeting tomorrow night. You are welcome to invite any friends and families with boys that are Cub Scout age (grades K-5). Please be sure to RSVP to let us know you are coming and how many guests to expect.
 
If one or more friends of your Cub Scout join our pack, your Cub Scout and all new friends that they recruit will receive a “My Best Friend is a Scout” patch. Your Cub Scout will also be presented with a “Recruiter” patch.

Who Should attend:
– Den Leaders and assistants
– Cubmasters and assistants
– Committee members
– Interested Cub Scout parents
 
While parents are attending training, Cub Scout age children (grades K-5) are invited to attend FREE archery, BB & fishing activities!

Pack 142 strives to provide a fun, rewarding and enjoyable program to all boys in our community. Without the support of our leaders and parents, the programs we provide to children in our community wouldn’t be possible. This is a great opportunity for you to help Pack 142! Please consider attending training with Council so that you are able to learn more about scouting and how you can help in our community.

Turtle Back Zoo Trip @ Turtle Back Zoo

Event Location: Turtle Back Zoo
Dress Requirements: Pack T-Shirt

Please meet at the Zoo entrance at 10:00AM so that we are able to register and enter together.

10:00AM – 12:00PMGroup visits to general zoo attractions

12:00PM – 1:00PM (Optional) – Picnic/Zoo lunch

1:00PM – 4:30PM (Optional) – Individual family or group activities for those who would like to continue exploring the zoo. Please click here to view additional details on the Turtle Back Zoo Website!

The cost for general admission is $9.00 and is payable to Pack 142 via TroopTrack, cash or check. Depending on the activities/attractions that families choose to attend in the afternoon, there may be an additional charge that each family will need to pay to the zoo directly.

We welcome new families and visitors that are interested in finding out more about Pack 142 to attend any of our events! You are welcome to invite any friends and families with boys that are Cub Scout age (grades K-5). Please be sure to RSVP to let us know you are coming and how many guests to expect. Those who visit the Turtle Back Zoo with Pack 142 will be charged $9.00 per attendee to cover zoo admission.
